Lost In Space Season 2: First Look At New York Comic Con, Plot & Release Date

Lost In Space Season 2 is one of the most anticipated shows of Netflix. The sci-fi reboot of classic 1965 series is in works from a long time. And the audience is waiting desperately to have the sophomore run of space drama as soon as possible.
The first season of Lost In Space has been well received by both the old and new fans of the series. And without taking much time, Netflix renewed the show for its second season just after next month of its debut on the streaming service. And since then, the streaming giant has been pretty tight-lipped about Lost In Space Season 2.
The show is based on a reimagining of the 1965 series of the same name. However, the original show itself inspired by the 1812 novel, The Swiss Family Robinson. Fans were pretty excited to hear as the classic series received reboot after all these years.

Season 2 At New York Comic-Con

However, Netflix is bringing the series to New York Comic-Con next month. So, the audience would get some more details related to the upcoming season. The streaming giant also announced that there would be a special panel and staging for the first look of the entire cast at the comic con event in New York on 5th of October.
The panel will be attended by series leads including Matthew Broderick, Colin Ford, Sophie Simnett, Austin Crute, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Jeanté Godlock, Cody Kearsley and Gregory Kasyan along with executive producers Aron Eli Coleite, Brad Peyton and Jeff Fierson.

Lost In Space Season 2: Plot Details

In an interview with TVLine at Saturn Awards, the lead of the show Maxwell Jenkins (Will Robinson) discussed the upcoming season of Lost In Space. As he revealed, the second installment will feature some driving lessons for Will. Also, there will be a lot more of storytelling between his character and the Robot. Previously, in a podcast, one of the cast members also mentioned that season 2 will be bigger than ever.

The first season of the show left the audience in the middle with a massive cliffhanger. The entire Robinson family was ignorantly thrown in a new galaxy. Meanwhile, the extra passenger, namely Dr. Smith, was approaching the Resolute. Along with that, Jupiter 2, the alien engine of their ship went haywire and sent them into a wormhole.
The new galaxy, where the Robinson family has landed, is the one from where the robot came from. As Will Robinson recalls the galaxy matching with a drawing, the robot had done earlier in the season. The sequel will see Robinson’s exploring the new galaxy and trying to reconnect with the Resolute.

Lost In Space Season 2: Release Date

The production work for season 2 completed way back in January 2019 only. And the show was in its pre-production phase. Therefore, it seems that details regarding the premiere of the show will come shortly. Also, As per Union Journalism, Amazon spilled the release date for Lost In Space Season 2. Kevin Emerson’s latest novel had an estimated air time for Lost In Space Season 2 in its description.
The details also stated that the release of the book would coincide with the premiere of Season 2. As, the hardcover will be available on November 19, 2019; the audience can expect the new run around the same time too. However, the description changed later, and Netflix is yet to confirm when the series returns.
