American Gods Season 3 is coming back on Starz. Chic Eglee is the showrunner for the third season. Eglee has previously written for The Shield and Dexter. However, Chic co-created the show Dark Angel alongside James Cameron. American Gods is an American fantasy TV drama series. The series is the adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel. However, the show is developed by Michael Green and Bryan Fuller for the premium cable network Starz.

Cast Updates on American Gods Season 3

Iwan Rheon who was last seen in Game Of Thrones is joining the cast of American God Season 3. Yes! the hellish Ramsay Bolton from GOT will now play a good-natured leprechaun. The name of the character is Liam Doyle. However, this sounds like something in the wheelhouse of the Welsh actor, Rheon.
Furthermore, Ashley Reyes is also joining the cast as a series regular. The Night Has Settled actor will play Cordelia. Her character is a whip-smart but rebellious college dropout. Viewers will witness her road trips across the country meeting her boss’ eccentric friends.

Moreover, recently Blythe Danner joined the third season of American Gods. She will play Demeter, said to be the Greek goddess of the harvest. Who has an unresolved romantic history with Mr. Wednesday? And Marilyn Manson is coming for the forthcoming season. Mason is playing the character of Johan Wengren. He is the blood-thirsty lead singer of Blood Death, a Viking death metal band.

Who Is Returning From The Original Cast?

So, the returning cast includes Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon and Yetide Badaki as Bilquis. Moreover, Everyone’s favorite Mr. World and Peter Stormare as Czernobog are also coming back for the third season. Along with Devery Jacobs as Sam Black Crow, Emily Browning as Laura Moon and Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis are also reprising their roles. And finally, Omid Abtahi as Salim and Bruce Langley as Technical Boy are also coming back in American Gods Season 3.

Starz has not made any official announcement regarding the release date.  As we all know the delay of the second season. It’s hard to even speculate on the release date of the upcoming season of American Gods. But it would be safe to expect the upcoming season in summer 2020.
