Season 5 No Good For A Better Call Saul Character

Its looks like the upcoming season of Better Call Saul will act as a dumping ground for one of a main character from the show. That character is none other than Gene Takovic. Bob Odenkirk, who plays the lead Jimmy McGill/ Saul Goodman/ Gene Takovic on the show, discussed the future of his character. According to him, after so much that happened in the fourth season, Gene is now under so much pressure, and he is not going to make it. As he stated, “I don’t think he can stand it. I think he’s cracking.” Although, Odenkirk made sure to know that he is as clueless and the viewers of the show.

Co-Creator of the show, Peter Gould also praised the character. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gould admitted that he loves Gene. According to him, “In some ways, Gene’s the opposite of Saul Goodman because he speaks so very little, he’s so afraid. But I’m fascinated by the situation and by the question of: is there still a chance of redemption or light of hope in this guy’s life after all of the terrible things that he’s done, now that he’s run away and hidden in Omaha.”

Better Call Saul Season 5: Cast Details

Lead by Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman/Jimmy McGill; the upcoming fifth season of Better Call Saul will feature Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, Michael Mando as Nacho, Jonathan Banks as Mike and Giancarlo Esposito as his boss Gus Frings. Moreover, later, news came in that Tony Dalton, who played Cartel boss Lalo Salamanca has confirmed to return on Season 5 as the series regular, and also as the main villain.

In the fourth season of the series, Gus Frings started construction of his own secret meth superlab, with the help of Mike. Also, Jimmy’s brother’s death put him in great distress and at an ultimate point where he’ll turn to the evil Saul Goodman. The fifth season of Better Call Saul will feature Jimmy McGill converting to the evil lawyer Saul Goodman. And after that, he will concentrate on culprits whom he can approach, or they come to him.
