Sharon Case went through a lot of tragic incidents on The Young And The Restless. She was abused by the mighty villain, Cameron, and lost her ex-husband Rey to a car accident. All these incidents created a void in Sharon’s heart on Y&R, and her story has no more surprise elements. With this, fans and viewers of the daytime started to worry about the actor’s bland role. Hence Sharon decided to open up about her feelings in an interview. 

Recently, Sharon spoke to Soap Opera Digest podcast. While in conversation, she recalled the scenes when Rey died. She said it was difficult to bid goodbye to the actor with whom she had worked for a long time. The Young And The Restless actress also mentioned how challenging it was to play her role. She said though her scenes were difficult to process, those very scenes earned her a Daytime Emmy nominee this year. Of course, such tragic scenes will wake up an actual actor in them.

Ever since Sharon went through a tragedy, she’s just been existing on the soap. This is making Y&R fans’ annoyed, but to their relief, Sharon revealed a possible storyline. The actor said that her character is slowly coming out of grief. She added that Sharon suffered not just a loss but a trauma. Well, it is time for her to move on and start a new life. Hence, the actress mentioned that it’s time for Sharon to wake up and start a new career and relationship. She added that it’d be hard to find love with someone new if you didn’t get past your old love. So, Sharon hopes that her character will soon open the door for a new start!
