Coronation Street former Nicola Thorp joyfully announces the arrival of her baby girl on Instagram, but amidst the celebration, she urges support for Gaza. The star, known for her role on the popular soap, didn’t shy away from drawing attention to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war’s devastating impact. While sharing the happy news of becoming parents, Nicola and partner Nikesh Patel took a moment to reflect on the situation in Gaza. Coronation Street: New Mother Nicola Urges Support For Gaza

Coronation Street actress Nicola Thorp shared the happy news of becoming a mother with her fans on Instagram. Nicola (Nicola Rubinstein) was seen in Weatherfield till the year 2018. Also, she made a short appearance in 2019. Recently, the 35-year-old actress and -partner Nikesh Patel became parents to their first baby girl. While celebrating her newfound motherhood, the actress also highlighted Gaza’s situation. She wrote, “We are delighted to say that we recently welcomed our beautiful baby daughter into the world.” 

The Coronation Street former shared that her timeline is filled with pictures of babies and children dying or living in fear/ danger. She continued, “It doesn’t feel right to share our news on her without also acknowledging how fortunate we are that our baby is safe.” The Corrie actress urged her fans to donate to the United Nations Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency. She linked to the appeal website, which is supporting pregnant women, new mums, and their babies in Gaza. She concluded by saying, “Every child deserves to be born into safety.”

We all are very well aware that Gaza is in crisis due to the Israel-Hamas war. Since the attack on October 7, 2023, 93% of Gaza’s population has been suffering from hunger, with insufficient food and high levels of malnutrition. Yusuf Kalam, philanthropy and partnerships manager at Muslim Aid, recently opened up and shared some heart-wrenching stories.

He said, “I was told about the mother with the empty pot. She kept churning it until her starving baby fell asleep.” We send Nicola our heartiest wishes for becoming a mother.
