Ben Price Recalls His First Day On Coronation Street

Coronation Street star Ben Price has recently shared a memory from his first day on Corrie. Ben made his debut around 15 years ago as Nick Tilsley on the show. The soap star recalls that on his very first day, the gate guy did not grant him access to enter the set. “I wasn’t let in on my first day,” he revealed during a recent chat on the podcast – On The Sofa.

As the actor arrived at the gate, the gateman asked him his name and searched for his name in the ‘supporting actors’ list.’ After he could not find his name, he declined him entry. Later, the Coronation Street star had to phone the desk inside the set. He spoke with producer Marc Hough and finally got to pass the gate.

The Coronation Street actor laughingly shared his conversation with Marc, “I went, ‘Hey, Mark. I can’t get to work. I’m standing at the gate. Someone’s got to be fired for this. I’ve never been so offended. I’m going back home. You need to sort this s**t out.” His debut day was definitely not so smooth sailing but certainly a memorable one. 

Additionally, the next of Coronation Street will feature Nick preparing to propose Leanne Battersby. He buys a ring with Toyah’s help.
