The creators were working on the post-production of the finale episode of the tenth season, and then the COVID-19 outbreak halted the productions of every show and movie globally. In a recent talk with Entertainment Weekly, the show star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, said, “Who knows when we go back to work. I certainly don’t know when production is going to start again on The Walking Dead. When we’re going to see the eleventh season of the show is such a fu**ing mystery right now. It’s just a big question mark.” This statement from the actors of this series is clearly indicating the delay for the indefinite amount of time.

The fans are getting excited about it. They might see a group of walkers with a song in the background instead of listening to their screams. 

In a recent interview, Kang hinted te fans about the future of Maggie. He said, “Maggie is part of the soul of these people’s lives. There’s so much respect for her within our communities. She was a leader at a time when so much of the control at Hilltop had been lost. Even as we’re working on the eleventh season, we’ve got so much great stuff planned for her.” According to this statement, her character can turn out to be a significant part of the storyline of the next season.

The fans will be going to see The Walking Dead: World Beyond, which is another spin-off and the final episode of the tenth season before the release of the eleventh season.
