Amy Slaton, the star of 1000 Lb Sisters, opened up about making friends again. She is honest about her struggle with social anxiety. Much like her big sister Tammy, who once also dealt with the same thing, she is trying hard to push herself to leap into friendship. Currently, she is in the middle of receiving judgments from society and family.

Amy has been a hot mess ever since she joined Tammy for the show’s first Season. With time, she established herself as someone who is bound to get tangled in many things. Last year, she was arrested for carrying drugs in her car along with her boyfriend Brian. Her drug case came up in Season 7, and her siblings reacted to make her feel belittled.

Amy Slaton and Amanda Halterman clashed again in a new 1000 Lb Sisters Season 7 episode. As the family assembled to discuss Amy’s arrest and drug charges, Amanda tried to start the topic. The siblings hoped to prepare her before her court date, but instead of complying, she turned defensive.

Amy said that the group chat felt like an interrogation. However, Amanda tried her best to explain the situation further. Without listening to her, Amy stormed out of the place. Chris later revealed that Amy didn’t even have Amanda complete her sentence before she left. Sadly, Amanda also took her leave with a grumpy face. Later in the episode, Chris sounded off about his dream to buy a food truck.

1000 Lb Sisters: Amy Feels Awkward Meeting Tammy’s Friends!

Amy Slaton tried to recover from her past events during the May 6 episode of 1000 Lb Sisters Season 7. Her camel attack and arrest made her feel helpless. She also shared that it is tough for her to go out and face the public after keeping herself indoors for years. 

As Tammy prepared dishes for dinner for her friends, Amy confessed to feeling uncomfortable around unfamiliar people. She doesn’t have a social life, so situations like that freak her out. She revealed that they happen to feel her out of place and low-confident. Yet, the reality star said that she would do her best to come out of it.

Amy shared that she will make new friends even sooner. In the episode, the TLC star coped with the aftermath of living in a prison for a night. Her experience has been too bad because she felt lonely and cold. She explained that the drugs she had with her were mere medical intoxicants to cure her chronic pain.

Also, Tammy used to be friendless during school days. The episode that showed her Corn Parade Fest made her admit that kids would mock her due to her weight. Luckily, she had the chance to fulfill her childhood dream of floating and see the crowd cheer for her.
