Cupid might need to first deal with the immigration law in the 90 Day Fiance land now! So, from now onwards, love could be blind, but immigration officers wouldn’t be. Apparently, the new laws related to immigration and the visa process have completely turned the tables, and viewers are sure that this would shake the foundations of the show.
From K-1 visa delays to tougher background checks, there is a lot that is going to happen, and this could even lead to the downfall of the show. Is this true? What is this all about? How will these laws affect the show? Keep on reading to learn more about this controversy because the tea is really hot!

There have been countless couples on 90 Day Fiance who have been accused of walking down the aisle solely for the sake of the Green Card. Pairs like Mohamed Jbali & Danielle Mullins, Anfisa Arkhipchenko & Jorge Nava, Larissa Dos Santos Lima & Colt Johnson, and even Mohamed Abdelhamed & Yve Arellano have been accused of being green card couples.
Many of them married elderly American women just to ensure they got their visa. As soon as their agendas were served, they parted ways and began living their American Dream. Nikki Shoemaker and Michael Ilesanmi, two stars who have faced such accusations, parted ways with their partners as soon as they landed in America. However, it seems that this trend cannot continue in the future.
90 Day Fiance couples would have to deal with a lot just to prove that their connection is genuine and they weren’t in a fraudulent marriage at all. Apparently, a fan page, 90daythemelanatedway, recently reposted a post by Mixble that talked about all the changes in the immigration process. It stated, “Marrying a US Citizen No Longer Guarantees a Green Card.”
The post explained how the US Government’s goal was to approve only genuine marriages and avoid any kind of “fraud.” So, the process would be stricter, with deeper background checks and in-person interviews being mandatory. Hence, they would even have to share their travel history, text messages, joint bank accounts, and shared leases.
The introduction of the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” has made the process “more stressful and uncertain.” Hence, couples would face more rejections and delays from the USCISÂ if they aren’t able to prove their relationship. Apparently, the show’s format itself is based on different levels of the visa process. So, if the couples aren’t even able to clear the first stage, how would they be able to reappear in another spinoff?
Sources believe that this would increase the popularity of The Other Way spinoff. Americans would travel to foreign lands and find love, as it is clear that not everyone can make their way to the USA today. Several stars, including Tania Maduro, admitted that they were really confused. Hence, it would be interesting to see where this path leads. What do you think? Do let us know in the comments section.
