Pawn Stars: Rick Harrison Pays Big For Civil War Jacket!

Rick Harrison had Pawn Stars fans hooked when a seller walked in carrying what he believed to be a classic Union Army jacket. The man explained that he had stumbled upon the piece in a pile of old theater costumes. He never expected it could carry real historical value. At first, he only hoped to sell it for around $500, planning to use the money to support his school.

Harrison, however, wasn’t about to take any chances before committing cash. Calling on Mark Hall-Patton, the “beard of knowledge” and trusted expert, Rick needed confirmation. Patton studied the jacket carefully, checking its details, including an inspector’s mark stamped inside. Though it lacked a belt loop and shoulder brace scars, the expert ultimately called it authentic, confirming it was indeed from the Civil War era.

The revelation excited both Rick and the guest. Still, money talks, and this find brought with it a tough negotiation. While the seller raised his asking price to $1,000 after learning about the jacket’s authenticity, Rick knew where to draw the line. He estimated a possible $2,000 at auction. After factoring in hefty selling fees, he calculated a fair offer of $750.

The deal closed on a friendly note, as the seller pushed Rick’s price slightly higher to $850.Rick agreed. Walking away with nearly double his original expectation, the lucky seller secured a win that will surely be remembered as one of the season’s most intriguing finds.
