Pawn Stars first aired back in 2009. The show’s concept was a little foreign to people at that time. No one really knew that the show would last longer than anyone ever thought. But it did, and people loved watching the show. Earlier this year, Pawn Stars concluded its 23rd season.
Soon after, Rick Harrison revealed that they are no longer under contract with the History Channel. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the producers’ announcement of the new season. As everyone awaits the new season, fans are somewhat disappointed that Corey Harrison will no longer be part of the show. But why? Keep reading to know why!

Corey Harrison shocked everyone when he lost around 200 pounds. According to the Pawn Stars fame, his doctor warned him about being prediabetic, and at that time, he weighed nearly 402 pounds. His condition made him realise that he really needs to lose some weight. In 2014, he revealed that he opted for a lap band surgery to People.
He lost 192 pounds, bringing his weight down from 210 pounds. Corey added, “I’m actually excited to go to the gym now. I box 12 rounds a day, five days a week.” He further said he loved snowboarding as a kid, but in his 20s, his weight didn’t allow him to strap his feet to boards. Corey continued, adding that when he finally got to touch his feet again, he realized he could snowboard too. “So I went out and got new gears immediately,” he added.
Earlier this year, Rick Harrison revealed that Pawn Stars had ended their contract with the History Channel. While Season 23 ended at the start of this year, there is no official confirmation on when the new season of the show will arrive. “We’re waiting to see when we might resume filming or what will come next on the horizon,” Rick added in a statement. While there is no confirmation about the new season, Corey Harrison’s exit from the show is definite.

Earlier this year, Corey revealed that his journey on the show had come to an end. He added that he has moved on from it and is looking towards a better future. “At this stage of the game, we’re all playing a character on Pawn Stars,” Corey said. He further added that he can’t play another season pretending to be 23 when he is actually 41. “At some point, you’ve got to prepare for the end,” he added.
Corey explained, “I’d be stupid not to be prepared. I look at it that way. I’m set up for the future.” He further stated that he loved filming and being part of the show, but the past few years had been particularly rough for him. “I’m ready to move on,” Corey exclaimed. He also revealed that he was in no contact with History to renew his contract. He addressed the whole situation on his father’s podcast.
On Pawn After Dark, he said, “They told me what they are doing and I said, Alright, cool. I’ll pack it up. I am moving to Mexico.” Corey further added that he told them to have fun and to do whatever they want. “My dad will work ‘til the day he collapses. That’s just not me,” Harrison added.
