TLC Gives 1000 Lb Sisters’ Star Dr. Charles Procter The Spotlight With His Own New Series!

TLC: DR. PROCTER

Dr. Charles Procter from 1000 Lb Sisters is now the new solo star as TLC promoted him to his own show. He is the bariatric surgeon of Tammy, Amy, Amanda, Misty, and Chris. Also, he helped Meghan from the Best Friends’ franchise lose weight through the surgery. Not just them, he has supported several patients behind the cameras to get back on track.

Dr. Procter and Dr. Smith once collaborated for a podcast launch. They joined hands to talk about their work. They teased it before dropping the first episode. In March, they discussed how they believe in serving people who are stuck in their obese bodies. As physicians, their mission is to change the lives of as many people as they can. They increased the low chances of survival.

1000 Lb Sisters: Dr. Procter’s Debut On TLC!

Not many know that Dr. Procter started his reality TV journey way back in 2018 on TLC with Family By The Ton. The show primarily starred three cousins of Georgia who cumulatively weighed almost 2000 pounds. All of them sought weight loss surgery from the doctor when they felt their death was near. Since then, he has become a familiar face on national TV.

That series followed 1000 Lb Sisters, 1000 Lb Best Friends, and Too Large. Fans should know that, apart from his surgical practice in Georgia, he is the founder of Beltline Health. He has expert hands in robotic-assisted surgeries, such as gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy. The Greensville resident holds the Medical Director position at Northside Hospital in Atlanta in the bariatric surgery department.

1000 Lb Sisters: Dr. Procter’s Passion Doesn’t Go Unnoticed!

Fans of Dr. Procter gear up for his latest addition to the list of reality TV shows. He is all set to feature in TLC’s new installment, Dangerously Obese. This uniquely presented him and his patients as they prepared together for the upcoming weight loss surgeries. While he was soft-spoken, yet realistic about his past cases, he showed his tough side to the newest cast.

The new show brings together men and women from diverse backgrounds to commit to changing their fate. They all stand for one goal, which is bariatric surgery. Dr. Procter heard a mother-daughter duo wailing about getting rid of obesity. Another one is a gay man wanting to enjoy life. Then, a former softball player complained of their obese figure.

Every episode will provide viewers with a new story that’s emotion-evoking and deeply personal. In the official teaser of the series, a woman danced out to celebrate that she doesn’t pay attention to those who hate her body. Another woman talked about how much they are obsessed with eating cheeseburgers.

Dr. Procter gave a stern warning to all of the new patients. He asked them to watch their daily intake, as they tend to overeat. He said this could cost them their lives, ultimately leaving their families alone to fend for themselves. “I’m disappointed because I don’t think you have any real idea how unhealthy you are,” he told one of them.
