After the ‘Jon and Kate plus 8’ couple’s messy public divorce, various new information have been coming to light. Public opinion is split in half after the conspiracies surrounding that infamous divorce battle unravel. After the TLC show fame, Kate took to TikTok for a boyfriend reveal; the dam broke loose with the star getting called out as a manipulator.

In a recent, surprising turn of events, according to insider reports, it was disclosed that Dr. Phil attempted to act as a mediator between Jon and Kate after TLC’s request. Apparently, the network didn’t want the show to end or break up the cast. It was earning the network a significant amount of money. TLC then urged Dr. Phil to mediate after they failed to persuade Jon to continue with the show.

The couple had disagreements even before divorcing about parenting methods and balancing fame. But the couple ended their story after filing for divorce. Rumors about Jon’s supposed infidelity started circulating. The divorce battle got really messy and ugly really fast. Both individuals dragging each other’s names through the mud. 

Jon denied the cheating allegations against him. He claimed that Kate was the one who was having an affair with the family bodyguard, Steve Neild. Kate denied all the claims and went all in fighting tooth & nail in court. The divorce ended in Kate being granted sole custody of all their children. Jon ended up with the ‘cheater’ tag to his name, shunned by the public. Overnight, he lost his children, whom he adored, and the show he worked so hard for in making it a household name. He left the show himself, as continuing to keep any contact with his estranged wife was a low blow to him.

An insider close to the TLC-famed couple came forward with receipts to expose the truth. Kate was indeed the one with an extramarital affair all along. The insider dropped some serious allegations, exposing Dr. Phil and the TLC network. According to the insider, Jon went to TLC back then, exposing Kate and her lies & affair. Still, the network brushed it under the rug, wanting the show to continue regardless. It was generating significant revenue for the network at the time. In a mediating session conducted by Dr. Phil, the celebrity therapist apparently offered $2 million to Jon to settle the matter with a ‘contract marriage’ with Kate for the sake of the show.

Jon reportedly flipped out, rejecting the offer on the spot, saying his “Life Was Not for Sale.” Reportedly, when Jon disclosed Kate’s affair to the network, TLC immediately terminated Neild’s employment with the network. This led to Kate’s meltdown, during which she “threw a fit” until the network was forced to reinstate Steve. Jon refused to pretend to be married to Kate, and the show was rebranded as ‘Kate Plus 8.’ After Kate’s recent announcement of being in a relationship for a little over a year, netizens & their sleuthing skills quickly disclosed that the boyfriend was none other than Steve Neild, the ex-bodyguard with whom Jon accused her of having an affair. The insider further added, “His address has been hers for ten years.”

The couple continued with an ugly custody battle regarding their son Collin. Jon took Kate to court for a legal custody battle. After winning the custody hearing, Collin shortly moved in with his father and started talking about his traumas & struggles. He claimed that his mother had a separate room for him in the basement. He couldn’t go out much or have a normal lifestyle, unlike his siblings.

His claims were further supported by his sister, Hannah, who shortly followed her brother to move in with their father. Both children are happy to be in a better environment; their other siblings haven’t made any comment about it. Though after Kate’s boyfriend’s reveal on the internet, Collin even took to social media to slam his mother,  “What really upsets me is that my mom had an affair with our bodyguard way back in 2009, and for years would share hotel rooms with him while we went on family vacations,” he wrote.

Jon’s reaction to this public spectacle only underscored his disappointment about how, when he initially disclosed Kate’s infidelity, no one believed him. TLC apparently had Jon “under a strict gag order. If he talked about any of this – especially outing Kate- they were going to sue him,” the insider later added.
