To begin with, the mother of seven faced several miscarriages before her first child was born in 2015. She also went through multiple surgeries, including those in which she had her ovaries removed.
She also struggled with long-term complications from COVID-19. The couple is parents to seven children: Carson, born in 2015; Brooklyn, born in 2016; Everly, born in 2018; Holland, born in November 2019; Finley, born in 2022; William, born in October 2023; and Henry, born in 2025. After Henry was born, Erin faced major health complications. Recently, she shared that she has lost function in her right leg due to sepsis.
Bringing Up Bates stars Erin and Chad celebrated their first month with their newborn, Henry. The mother of seven shared several photos of the family and the baby in an Instagram post. In the post, Erin revealed that her newborn had arrived six weeks early. She wrote, “Dear Henry, you were supposed to arrive today, but God gave us six extra weeks with you.”
The mother of seven further added that her baby got her and her family through the difficult times. Erin also wrote that she was thankful to be together with her family. She said that she is alive and healing. “You are our little miracle,” Erin concluded. In one of the snaps she shared, Erin and Chad posed with all their children, holding little Henry in their arms.
The family coordinated in blue outfits. Erin also posted a story where she wrote that she is really grateful and plans to spend more time with her newborn. She also added that she hopes she will not take this for granted. She said, “I remember laying in the hospital bed thinking I would never have this moment with my new baby.”
Additionally, she wrote that she is so thankful to be alive and to be holding Henry close to her right now. “I hope I never take it for granted,” Erin added.
