The Putman family from Meet the Putmans suffered a tragic loss after a recent car accident. The accident claimed the lives of 3 members and left five members hospitalized. As of the latest updates, the survivors are making a steady recovery. The family shared progress on Blake, Noah, Lulu, Alina, and Gia through an Instagram post, stating, “We wanted to share an update and continue asking for prayers for Noah, Gia, and our entire family.”

   

Although the case remains open, reports have started to speculate about certain loopholes. Three members of the Putman family were officially declared dead shortly after the accident, while five others sustained life-threatening injuries. Bill, the family patriarch, had just celebrated his 65th birthday days before this tragedy occurred.

On Friday night in Michigan, a semi-truck collided with the Putman family’s Jeep, resulting in a fatal accident. Three family members—Bill, his wife, Barb, and daughter-in-law, Megan Putman- died at the scene. In the immediate aftermath, others, including Noah, Gia, Lulu, Alena, and Blake Putman, sustained very grave injuries. Shortly after, Gia’s doctor performed a craniotomy on her, and later reported her brain pressure was decreasing.

According to the county Sheriff’s office, a 55-year-old man from Florida, driving the truck, did not stop at the stop sign. The man has been arrested and faces 8 charges, including 3 for causing death in an accident. He was also charged with 5 counts of causing serious injury while driving.

Following earlier reports, the family took to Instagram to post further updates on their condition. In these more recent updates, they shared that Gia was having challenges with spiking blood pressure and unstable ICP. The family wrote, “She’s doing better now, and they’re focusing on keeping her stable and taking it one day at a time.” They also indicated Noah has been recovering steadily, and that Blake, Lulu, and Alina have been recovering at a steady pace as well.

The latest Instagram post stated, “Noah is doing well in rehab…… He’s been sleeping better, talking, eating, and moving around more each day.” The family also noted, “Blake, Lulu, and Alena are still recovering, but we’re thankful to share that they’ve all been discharged and are doing well.” Noah has started occupational therapy in recent days. They included thanks for prayers and well wishes from their supporters.

In their most recent plea, the family wrote, “Please continue to keep the faith and keep praying for Noah, Gia, and our family as we take this long road of healing.” The caption included a Bible verse: “All things work together for good.” Initially, after announcing the tragedy on Instagram, the family posted a letter stating, “Through this unimaginable grief, the family is persevering with the help of their faith.” The Sheriff’s office told The Sun they will look for any video of the crash.
