In one episode, each contestant had to walk to a ladder to cross from one building to another as part of an intense challenge. However, the Directing Staff instructors didn’t make things any easier for Kody. One of them yelled at Brown, saying, “Imagine it is one of your wives over here.”

Before the show premiered, Kody opened up about facing many personal battles. He added that one time his muscles gave out. Brown further explained that everyone was supposed to swing across monkey bars, but he had sand on his hands. He couldn’t climb the monkey bars and lacked the strength to continue the task. Kody also admitted that he used to fake a wheeze on the show so the producers would put less pressure on him.

In a recent episode of the Casual Chaos Podcast, Gia Giudice invited Ravi Patel. The pair discussed Sister Wives star Kody Brown on the podcast. Gia began by talking about Brown’s physicality. Ravi admitted that Kody’s speed was undoubtedly impressive. However, he also revealed that, at first, he thought Brown was under the influence of something. He said, “I thought he must be on amphetamines because he was racing up and down the hill.”

Patel further said that Kody was ‘zipping by him, almost like a cartoon.’ He said he felt something was surely wrong. He believed that Kody must have been on meth, as that seemed the only way to perform the task at such speed. “He was flying by professional athletes,” he added. Ravi also said that the father of 18 was unlike anyone else, and he maintained that energy throughout the competition. Though his physical health utterly impressed both, his personality completely puzzled them.

Ravi added that Kody was the most interesting person on the show, with the oddest background. “He’s an eccentric dude,” Patel admitted. Earlier, Gia said that Kody was very caring on the show. Now, she admitted that he is also someone who attracts a lot of controversy. The pair also added that some of his traits might result from what is happening in his personal life. “He kind of misses having that father role,” Gia said.

She added that he probably lives with only one of his kids, and it’s clear he misses everyone. Ravi said that Kody is trying to reinvent himself socially and emotionally. “In a way that I don’t know he’s given the time before,” he added.
