Previously on About Face, the surgeons hadles a linear sebaceous nevus syndrome (LSNS). The 23-year-old Jordan revealed that she was born with the rare syndrome. She added that whenever she leaves her home, she covers the birthmark with her hair. Furthermore, she exclaimed that no one had told her how the birthmark could change in response to different things. The other woman added that it also grows each time someone gets pregnant.

Since she started having children, the birthmark has grown outward and crusted over, eventually falling off. She added that LSNS can be life-threatening, and for the longest time, her birthmark scarred her because she thought it could kill her. When the other women asked, she said it scared her and made her nervous. She added that it took her a really long time to accept her condition.

About Face: Surgeon Shocked After Hearing Sufferer’s Accident Story

Recently, TLC shared a new preview video for the upcoming episode of About Face on Instagram. When the surgeon asked Louis how his accident had happened, he revealed that a young driver had nearly taken his life. Louis added that when the truck hit his car, the glass shattered. One of the glass shards pierced his jaw, cutting through bone, muscle, and skin tissue.

The surgeon was utterly shocked to hear the details. Furthermore, Louis said he was sure he was going to die after that terrible accident. In the confessional, the female surgeon explained that his injuries were extremely severe. She further said that Louis had suffered a lot of trauma to his face. The noted surgeon admitted that it was not an easy problem to solve. She also asked him if he had undergone additional surgeries after the accident.

Louis replied, “Yes.” He said that after his twelfth surgery, he stopped keeping count and had many more surgeries after that. She then asked him which one or two issues he would like addressed regarding his face. He said he would like his lips reconstructed so he could at least eat properly. The female surgeon said she assumed Louis had lost a lot of sensation around his mouth.

Moving on, the surgeon also questioned his partner about her perception of his condition. She said she only wanted to see Louis comfortable.
