Life hasn’t been easy for Jon and Kate Plus 8’s Collin Gosselin. The infamous Gosselin family was once a big household name in the 2000s. However, things got ugly after the parents divorced. Hell broke loose after his letter to his father, Jon Gosselin, came to light. In the letter, teen he begged his father to retrieve him. Following which, Jon predictably took Kate to court.

Jon Gosselin won over Collin and Hannah’s custody after that particular hearing. It wasn’t till after Collin came to live with his dad that he came clean about the abuse he faced from his mother back home. He started openly talking about his mom’s alleged abuse and gave elaborate details. In a rare instance, he shared with the world that he now wants to become a child advocate.

Jon and Kate Plus 8 star, Jon Gosselin, and his girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo just tied the knot in an intimate Pennsylvania ceremony. They read their vows surrounded by 180 close guests, consisting of family and very close family friends. The loving couple had a quiet, intimate barn wedding in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on November 23. Collin and Hannah were in attendance.

“Before I met you, I never knew what it was like to be able to look at someone and smile for no reason,” Jon’s vows read. “I feel like the luckiest man in the world, because I get to grow old with my best friend and the love of my life,” he further added. They have planned to celebrate their honeymoon in 2026 with a Caribbean cruise.

Jon & Kate Plus 8’s Collin Gosselin has had quite a traumatic past. He was institutionalized by his mother for his “difficult” behavior. However, after moving in with his dad, he shed light on the whole story. Over the years, Collin has gotten candid about his mother’s alleged abuse. Kate would apparently bind him with zip ties and lock him in his basement room.

He claimed that his mother had a separate room for him in the basement, away from his other siblings. Moreover, he briefly described the emotional trauma and abuse he had to face from his mother. Hannah also moved in with her dad after Collin left. Fortunately, he shared that he and sister Hannah are healing and are at a better place after moving in with their dad.

Therefore, recently recalling his traumatic past, he has vowed to become a child advocate and fight for the needs of abused children. Furthermore, he took to his Instagram to write a rant recalling the difficult times. “I remember when my mom would send my siblings off to school every day and then put her hands on me and drive scarring words into my head,” he wrote.

Gosselin also claimed that Kate manipulated the public with their ‘happy family’ picture. Although he had gotten immense hate for opening up, he insisted that he will never stop speaking up. “Keep coming for me, I will keep advocating,” he shared his plans to use his voice and power to fight for children who can’t.
