In the previous episode, Kody traveled to North Carolina to speak with Janelle privately. Kody hoped to repair the relationship, as over the years, they had had many disagreements. He admitted he carried bitterness through their breakup and acknowledged that he took his anger out on the entire family.

During their conversation, Kody decided to address a conversation from the past. According to Kody, one of the meanest things he said to Janelle was that he did not love her. He admitted it was “a lie born from pain,” and Janelle became teary-eyed hearing him apologize to her. He thought about the early days of their marriage, the affection they once shared, and the regret he felt for not protecting that relationship. Janelle appreciated the apology and told him she still cares for him.

Sister Wives: Christine’s Honest Reaction Towards Kody & Fans Show Support

In the new Sister Wives episode, Christine is asked by the producers how she feels about Kody, including whether she is on his apology tour. In her confessional, she admits that she was shocked when producers told her about the whole thing. Christine recalled her initial reaction to hearing about it. She said, “No, I’m not gonna go. That’s ridiculous. I don’t trust anything that comes out of his mouth.” She explained that their last conversations didn’t help the matter and left her feeling drained.

She added that every time she chose to give him a chance, it only “bit her in the butt.” She added that by asking why, she would give Kody another chance, given the past.
