The new show in discussion is this show. The network considers it a reality experiment. This reality series will chronicle the lives of six individual in their Amish lifestyle. The six individuals who were previously non-Amish have chosen to walk the Amish path. A progressive Amish community will welcome the newcomers and help them adapt to the community’s way of life.

Suddenly Amish is at the centre of a big buzz these days. Just after TLC announced the show, the fandom lost it. The online forums were overflowing with fan discussions. All six cast members come from different backgrounds. Matt is a divorced dad from Texas seeking spiritual grounding and a fresh start. Kendra is a former dancer and content creator seeking to move past body image struggles.
Aaron, 40, from Michigan, is a pastor’s son drawn to Amish devotion with a hearing disability that requires modern technology. Judah, 22, the youngest cast member, is a Missouri rapper with germophobia who values luxury but also seeks true belonging. Esme, 25, is from Texas and is pursuing a stable, traditional family life. Billie Jo, 44, from New York, has long been an admirer of the culture.
TLC recently announced several new shows and revivals as part of its new year line-up, including Suddenly Amish. Moreover, certain shows from that line-up have generated significant buzz. However, one of these new shows takes the cake. After TLC announced it, the fandom’s reactions were fragmented. But over time, the discussions are leaning towards the opposing side.

They won’t be allowed any modern technologies or the pleasures of life. The show will also highlight their struggles as they try to adopt the new, strict lifestyle.
However, the show has garnered much adverse criticism. The public has dubbed the show “exploitative” and “fake” as the Amish people do not believe in photos or videos taken with modern technologies. That is vanity to them. More people are following suit, claiming that the people in the show were merely actors for the aforementioned reason.
