Over the years, fans have become accustomed to watching the problems among the Brown family on Sister Wives. As another episode has just aired, fans have gotten more content related to it. Kody is known for his antics in the reality show, and he was involved in yet another showdown. As Kody continues his apology tour, not everyone is on board with the way he is doing things.
While Kody went to see Christine and David to apologize, some of David’s words didn’t sit well with Kody. As David tried to give Kody some advice, the Brown family patriarch took it personally and had some harsh things to say. Is this apology tour truly about accountability, or is it opening new lines of conflict? And how does David’s presence shift the balance of power in these conversations? Keep on reading to know more.

As mentioned previously, Kody has been making an effort for the past few weeks to take accountability and apologize to everyone in his life. After the first meeting with Janelle, Kody traveled to Nevada to sit down with Christine. Kody asked Christine to meet face-to-face, and her husband, David Woolley, was also present. Kody admitted regret over how his relationship with Christine ended. He acknowledged that he was angry during their breakup, which didn’t help.
Christine later revealed that the conversation caught her off guard, as she did not expect to get emotional after all these years. While she was open to talking about it, she made it clear that the issues remained in the past. But Kody still wanted to apologize as he felt they would feel better afterwards. He reflected on their shared past and joked that David might even want to punch him right now. David didn’t say much at the time and said that he understood a “guy’s point of view.”
While that was from the past episode, in the latest episode, things weren’t as friendly between them. As Kody was apologizing, David interrupted him. While Kody wanted to focus on talking to Christine, David felt he should be talking to their children. He advised Kody to start apologizing to his kids rather than to his former wives, since they have their own lives now. David is himself a father of eight, and he explained that rebuilding trust with kids takes effort and patience.
Kody did not really like hearing the advice, as he got annoyed and tried to defend his decision. Kody told the cameras that his purpose was to apologize to Christine, not to David or anyone else. In a confessional, Kody said he had set boundaries with both his children and David and said that he did not care about David’s perspective. He admitted that being reminded of his failed relationships brought him back to an angry place.
David ultimately saw through Kody even though he didn’t say anything in front of him. He later shared that he felt like he should speak because he sees the pain Kody’s children have with them. David felt they couldn’t reconcile on Kody’s terms alone. Kody later claimed that David lacked a real understanding of polygamy and the Brown family’s dynamics.
