While things might have been going smoothly for Kody on his apology tour, it didn’t start as well with Christine and her husband, David. Before their outing, Kody tried to apologize, but the conversation turned sideways. David intervened and tried to give Kody some advice, but he didn’t like it. David told him that before meeting and apologizing to any of his former wives, he should focus on his children. As a father of eight, David felt that real healing should start with the kids. Kody did not really like David giving him advice.

He got annoyed and told David that his goal was to apologize to Christine, not hear about what David had to say. In a confessional, Kody said he had set boundaries with both his children and David. He admitted that if he thought about going back in time with his children, he might slip into an angry place. After hearing what Kody had to say, David backed off. Later, he shared that he spoke up because he sees the pain Kody’s children still feel.

The next day, Christine revealed that she had decided to spend more time with Kody after the conversation became sour. She decided to meet Kody in Las Vegas with David for a racecar outing. Christine explained that she wanted to go home and tell her kids something positive. She wanted to say that spending time with their dad felt positive and normal.

She believed that, rather than trying to fix the past, they should focus on spending time together for the sake of their kids. Christine shared that her relationship with Kody was “fragile.” But she thought that doing an outdoor activity would be a good step forward. While Kody admitted he did not fully understand why they chose to race, he still wanted to take part.

However, after their meeting, Kody told a friend that while he apologized to his ex-wives, he would never trust them again. He also had no interest in making them his friends.
