Sister Wives fans have been witnessing a change in Kody Brown recently as he has been going on apologizing to his ex-wives. They are expecting something as surprising and new when Kody meets with Meri next. Having already apologized to Janelle and Christine, this will be his last stop on his self-dubbed apology tour. The series has shown the Brown family’s broken relationships throughout this season, and this meeting aims to help resolve some of them.
The clip also hints at what’s to come as there seems to be more tension ahead between the two partners. This is partly because of their shared history and a messy breakup as well. But is this conversation a genuine attempt to make peace, or another move to control the narrative? And more importantly, is Meri willing to entertain it at all? Keep reading to know more.

After 20 seasons, the reality TV show has reached a point where past decisions by family members are coming back to make a full circle. We have seen Kody attempting to repair his relationships with his former wives. Even though Robyn didn’t like the idea, he managed to apologize to the two of them. And with Meri, things seem to be tricky, as shown in the teaser for the upcoming episode.
Unlike previous conversations, Meri makes it clear that she will no longer allow Kody to control the conversation. She interrupts him and challenges his approach of reaching out to her without Robyn. In her confessional, Meri revealed that she would walk away if the discussion crossed her limits. Adding to her feelings, she felt completely ignored by Kody during their last meeting, which is what Kody always does to her. She felt she did not want to repeat the same mistakes again.
Sister Wives fans got to know what Kody was planning before meeting his ex-wife. He explains that his goal is to avoid escalating the situation, no matter what. Kody suggested that he was even willing to take physical punches from her if it meant reaching her emotionally. According to Kody, he wanted to persevere, and he believes patience will help him get through to Meri.
Meri, however, reveals a very different way of approaching the meeting. In her confessional, she states that she is going into the conversation with boundaries and no tolerance for manipulation. She admits that Kody’s energy affects her negatively. But this time, she planned to respond accordingly if he attacked her or those close to her, like Jenn. Recalling a past incident, Meri recalled that Kody reacted defensively when she suggested moving forward after their split.
Although he eventually calmed down, Meri felt that the best-case scenario had passed. Fans were quick to chime in with their thoughts. Many accused Kody of being performative and questioned whether his apology was motivated by staying relevant. Other fans wanted TLC to address what they see as repeated patterns of manipulation.
