He claims his motivation comes from wanting stability and a partner to help complete his family. His girlfriend is Trisha Stiley, who is a 25-year-old midwife living in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Trisha shared that her profession connected her deeply to her culture about family and motherhood. The two met online after Rick developed a liking for Madagascar while traveling there. Their relationship started smoothly as they started talking and soon fell for each other. However, in the first two episodes, we saw cracks appearing in the relationship.
