Fans of Chrisley Knows Best saw lots of ups and downs that have happened within the Chrisley family. The show was on air for almost a decade, and many people watched the cast members grow up before their eyes. Only this time, the life update seems to be a troubling one. It involves Todd and Julie Chrisley’s eldest son, Kyle. Fans are increasingly becoming concerned as the reality TV star has found himself at the center of legal trouble yet again.
According to reports, Kyle’s situation has become more complicated than what was alleged earlier. With past legal disputes and more criticism following his parents’ high-profile pardon, this incident has raised many questions. What exactly led to Kyle’s arrest, and how does this impact his already strained public image? Is this another chapter in a long-running legal struggle? Keep on reading to know more.

This is not the first time that Kyle has had a run-in with the law. But the latest incident also connects to what Kyle did in the past. Over the years, Kyle has remained outside the family’s good-guy image. He often makes headlines for not-so-good reasons, which are not related to the show. Earlier this year, Kyle and his wife, Ashleigh, took legal action against Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies.
The lawsuit stemmed from a previous aggravated assault arrest, which Kyle claimed was not fair and retaliatory. According to court documents, the couple alleged that law enforcement didn’t protect them during an incident at their home and instead had Kyle become the accused. Kyle argued that he suffered damage to his reputation and mental anguish as a result of the arrest.
Now, just a few days ago, Kyle was arrested in Tennessee on multiple charges. This happened following an incident that reportedly escalated after law enforcement arrived on the scene. According to reports, deputies responded to a call earlier this month after Kyle’s wife claimed he was behaving aggressively at their home. When officers attempted to intervene, authorities alleged that Kyle became hostile and physically confrontational. Law enforcement officials stated that he even charged the deputies.

He also threw punches and, as a result, injured officers during all of this. Investigators also claimed Kyle was intoxicated due to drinking alcohol just before the incident. Kyle now faces multiple charges, which include felony counts of assault on a first responder and retaliation for past actions. Additional misdemeanor charges include domestic assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication.
He was taken into custody that night and later released on a $88,500 bond. The timing of Kyle’s arrest becomes interesting as Kyle’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, received a presidential pardon recently. A court sentenced them to prison, but the pardon allowed them to avoid serving their sentences. Kyle is scheduled to appear in court in January 2026.
