Sister Wives showrunners have always focused on the dynamics of the Brown family as his wives leave him. Despite the separation, their journeys continue, and it’s the same with Christine. In an interview with Kati Charlene, Christine spoke about how she views family, especially after suffering a loss. She made it clear that she does not think there is a difference between her biological children and those she considers “bonus kids.” She continued by saying that she does not have labels for her family members and loves them all.
Christine explained that she sees Janelle’s children and Meri’s children as her own. This mindset was important as the whole family processed grief together, like Garrison’s loss. According to Christine, her husband David has played a quiet role since he’s here. Christine shared that David shows up consistently for her children without forcing anything. This made her love David even more. With her son Paedon and daughter Truely now living with them, Christine noted that David respects everyone’s boundaries.
As the interview with Kati continued, Christine talked more about losing Garrison. As she chatted, she revealed that her husband played an important role during the time she was feeling down. Christine said that it was David’s words that helped her, as she was still trying to understand how to process it all. Garrison was the son of Janelle, and he died by suicide in March of 2024.
According to Christine, she told David she wanted the pain to go away. David was beside her during this time and gave him his honest opinion. He explained that the grief would never grow small, and the hole left behind would always remain. Instead, he said her ability to live with that pain would grow with time. These words later helped Christine accept that healing does not mean forgetting someone.
David’s perspective comes from his own experience. He lost his first wife to suicide in 2012 after 20 years of marriage. Because of that, he encouraged Christine to feel her emotions. According to David, it was important to feel every emotion as it helps a person with moving forward. For the latest Sister Wives tea, stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers.
