Tammy has tried to wrap her head around her remarkable weight-loss journey in 1000 Lb Sisters’ new season. She said she never felt so different without excess skin. Her January skin-removal surgery worked wonderfully for her, reviving and boosting her confidence. She added that she can hardly recognize herself now.

“It’s been two months since I got home from surgery, and I don’t recognize myself,” Tammy told TLC producers in the premiere episode. She also detailed how it has all narrowed down to making her feel smaller. The reality star was caught off guard while folding her underwear. She recalled feeling suddenly glad that her underwear took up less space in her closet. This daily moment with others is still something she is mentally adjusting.

A clip from TLC arrived for fans ahead of the upcoming episode of 1000 Lb Sisters Season 8, featuring Tammy sharing her life after a huge weight loss. She was seen walking a dog on grass in an enclosed space as an animal care volunteer with another volunteer. She started by saying she was truly proud of herself, and she meant it.

Coming so far hasn’t been easy for Tammy. She said that back in her 700-pound days, her family would come to eat with her and leave soon after. Hence, she felt quite lonely and like a gorilla caged in a zoo. She hated her past, trapped living situation, which was full of ups and downs.

While looking in the mirror, Tammy has a mental illusion that she is still the same 700-pound woman. But she has broken out of the bad phase in all aspects. Her newfound independence is making her breathe fresh air and stay both inside and outside of four walls. She can meet new people and spend quality time outdoors with her family.

The smaller body that weighs 185 pounds now is incredible for Tammy. Her regained mobility has changed everything for the better. The TLC star is no longer stuck in her routine life. She seems to love working with animals due to her being an independent person. She appeared in an interview to offer her fresh skills to handle them.
