Life hasn’t been easy for Teen Mom star, Whitney Purvis. Her life has been a graveyard of dreams and a hotbed for tragedies. She rose to fame when she first appeared on the debut season of MTV’s 16 and Pregnant back in 2009. The show highlighted her dysfunctional background. She gave birth to her firstborn on the show.
She welcomed her son Weston Owen Gosa Jr. with her then-boyfriend, Weston Gosa Sr. After the first season, she never appeared in a spin-off, unlike her fellow castmates. Over the years, her clash with the legal system and her struggles with substance abuse pushed her down a dark path. After the death of her first son, she spiraled beyond control and is now facing 7 felony charges.

Just a day after Whitney Purvis’ arrest for involuntary manslaughter, authorities placed her on suicide watch. It happened just a month after her first son’s funeral. While the whole world was criticizing Whitney, an unexpected Teen Mom friend stood by her. Farrah Abraham made her stance clear by standing by her after her arrest, when no one else dared to get involved.
Moreover, Farrah claimed that she had also faced wrongful imprisonment multiple times, despite never being guilty. She also shared her experiences with law enforcement over the years. The MTV star noted that the easiest person to blame is usually a public figure, especially if it’s a woman. She empathized with Whitney, understanding her plight as a grieving mother, and hoped she’d get help to treat her issues.
