Birkan Tries To Control Laura’s Friendship With Michal On 90 Day Fiance

Birkan and Laura’s relationship takes a turn when Birkan makes a shocking demand. The 90 Day Fiance star wants Laura to break her friendship with Michal, her best friend. He clearly demands that Laura and he will get married soon, and Michal will have no place in the relationship then. Birkan admits he doesn’t like or trust Michal. He nonchalantly asks Laura to make a choice, giving her an ultimatum.

Laura fights back, saying that it isn’t possible to cut off her best friend from her life like that. Birkan’s controlling nature shocks Laura. In a confessional, Laura states she does not like Birkan’s controlling side. She also says she guessed that Birkan doesn’t like Michal much. But to ask her to cut ties with her best friend is unthinkable.

In a recent clip, Birkan reveals his job, which fits his storyline. He says he gambles for a living. “I gamble every day. Every opportunity I have, it’s what I do for a living,” says Birkan in a confessional on 90 Day Fiance. Now his massive debt and his plans to run away to America make sense. Gambling as a living is a questionable career, and now his future plans with Laura make sense.

In the Access Hollywood clip, Birkan and Laura meet with Birkan’s friends at a restaurant. Birkan does not reveal his job to Laura. Rather, fans learn about it when he talks about his job in the show’s confessional. His friends, however, know how Birkan earns a living. Birkan also states that Laura is worried about his finances and his massive debt. So, he doesn’t want to tell her about his gambling problem as it would worry her even more.

While Birkan chooses not reveal anything to Laura, his friends feel different. They are, in fact, urging him to confide in Laura and be honest about his job. His friends think Birkan is hooked on gaming when he feels lost or aimless. They also think he should tell Laura sooner rather than later, since the longer he waits, the bigger her reaction will be.

Laura knows something is up as they are all conversing among themselves in Turkish. None is translating for her. She says, “This definitely feels kind of off and a little shady.
