A recent post on a certified page revealed Rick’s occupation. Rick Van Vactor appears on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, alongside partner Trisha. On the show, Rick stated that he sold high-quality wigs and hair extensions for a living. But that is not true.
A recent Instagram post revealed Rick’s real profession, with screenshots from his employee page. It is not even remotely related to wig selling department. Fans are once again fooled by the network, which is making things up about their stars. Keep reading for the full post on Rick’s profession.

On 90 Day Fiance, Rick is introduced as a 52-year-old guy still looking for his perfect partner. Fans think a 52-year-old man seeking a relationship with a woman who is half his age is cringe. Secondly, the way he portrayed himself on the first night with Trisha is super creepy. The couple met in Madagascar and planned to have some intimate time, but Rick did something weird.
Rick covered the bed in a garbage bag because he knew Trisha was “a squirter”. He claimed he didn’t want to pay extra charges for a ruined mattress. Fans thought he was super confident in his skills to assume something like that would happen. They also thought his knowledge stemmed from too many adult movies. They even called him a “worst, nasty ass men on the show”.
An Instagram page revealed Rick’s real profession and what he does for a living. The 90 Day Fiance star had revealed that he sold wigs and hair extensions for a living. Turns out that is not the case. A verified page called shabootydotcom posted Rick’s real occupation. He isn’t a wig salesman. Rather, he is an Uber driver who operates in California.
The post included a screenshot of his Uber driver’s card, which customers can see while booking a ride in the app. Rick’s government name is Douglas, and that’s what it reads on the app. He has been an Uber driver for 10 years now, with a rating of 4.93. He mostly works in the Los Angeles/Burbank area, CA. An insider of the OP said that his temperament on the job is quiet. The compliments riders have given him include: “Cute,” “Great Conversation,” and “Above and Beyond.” That is also displayed on his Uber.
The OP also mentioned that TLC did not reveal his real profession but made up an interesting profession, such as a wig salesman, for the show. Fans criticized the network, saying, “I think it’s so sad how tlc makes so much up oh my goodness”. Another fan remarked that his ex-wife, Chinny, mentioned he works as a rideshare driver but did not mention Uber.
Another jokingly remarked, “I guess he won’t be buying her a bunch of stuff. Hopefully, she’ll at least get free rides”. Even though he lied about the job, it is noteworthy that he has worked at this company for 10 years, which shows his dedication to his work.
