Baylen Out Loud and TikTok star Baylen met with her designer, Hayley Paige, to discuss details about her wedding gown. She tried on a bunch of dresses and loved parts of each one. So she asked Hayley if they could mix elements from different dresses into one. Hayley loved the idea and even agreed to make a fully custom dress. The only catch was that custom dresses usually take a year, and Baylen only had four months left.
But Hayley was still down to take the challenge up and deliver it just for the Tourette star. The whole thing got really emotional for Baylen. She told Hayley she had never felt more beautiful in her life. Hayley said she deserved to feel that way and just wanted her to feel like herself. Baylen started thinking about her younger self and got teary, wishing she could go back and tell her everything would be just fine.
Tourette’s awareness advocate Baylen Dupree tries a new thing in the latest episode of Baylen Out Loud – power tools. In a recent sneak peek, Baylen’s dad, Allen, teaches Baylen to use a power saw. The 23-year-old never used Power Tools before, and Allen’s directions confuse her. Her Tourette’s make simple tasks like cooking a challenge, so why would Allen even try to teach her how to powersaw? His reasons are simple – his powersaw is safe, and he would be by her side supervising the whole time.
Allen also states he would never put any of his children in danger with power tools. Baylen, reluctant at first, goes over to the workstation. She fiddles with the tool, with Allen by her side, and touches the edges. Good thing the saw isn’t even powered on. Baylen’s dad guides her hand onto the handle, and the machine whirrs for a second. Allen states that he and Baylen built a golf course.
Baylen sees this as arts and crafts, since her father makes it look that way. Baylen is not confident about using a powerful tool that can saw her hand off, but she trusts her father. Her mother, Julie, is not so sure if this is the best idea to let her child, who suffers from Tourette’s, use a power tool. Will Baylen learn a new tool despite her condition?
