90 Day Fiance: Meltdown in Korea, Deavan’s Mom Meets Jihoon’s Parents

Just when we thought that Jihoon and Deavan were the perfect couple on 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Elicia happened. During Deavan’s trip from the US to South Korea, her mom decided to tag along. With great difficulty, Deavan agreed to give Jihoon a second chance and was expecting him to find a job before she came back with the kids. 

However, he admitted to his friends that he only has a part-time job that can’t provide for the family. He also added that the apartment they are living in is what Deavan secured online and paid for. Now that Elicia, Deavan’s mom is in South Korea, things started to unravel real quick. In fact, she had a meltdown so intense that Jihoon was grateful that his mom didn’t know the f-word. Let’s take a look.

Jihoon Worried About Elicia Meeting His Parents

Jihoon stated that Elicia is explosive and has a strong personality. Both her and Jihoon’s mother are not afraid of speaking their heart out. So, he was worried tht things might get ugly. Eventually, Jihoon and his parents went to pick them up at the airport. 

Things became a little awkward and the cultural gap was clearly visible. They were a little surprised at how Elicia gave them a hug. But later, they revealed in the confessional that it was nice. 

As they were getting ready to go to the new apartment, Elicia started losing her temper at how long Jihoon was taking to get going. While they were driving, she constantly feared an accident. She also kept on using the F-word and Jihoon was grateful that his mom didn’t know it. 

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way; Elicia Had a Meltdown

When Jihoon’s mom and Elicia saw the house, they were shocked. They both agreed that it wasn’t a good neighborhood. The place looked dilapidated which resulted in Elicia having a meltdown. Deavan’s mom clearly told the TLC cameras that she didn’t want her daughter staying here even if someone calls her a spoiled American. 

In a preview video for the next week’s episode, Deavan broke down saying that she had nothing in Korea and nothing if she returns to Utah. The 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way star also told her husband Jihoon that she is going back to the United States with her mother.
