Marmaris native Rasit appears in the latest season of 90 Day Fiance. His lady love, Mallorie, comes to Turkey, and they travel to the US together. There, he sees American culture, meets her friends and family, and talks about the future. Everyone thinks there are genuine feelings between them, and they seem quite compatible. Rasit had a hard time getting used to the culture, but he is trying.
Now, Rasit is asking 90 Day fans for help. A natural disaster destroyed his home in Marmaris. He has tried to rebuild it in full, but financial constraints have stopped him. Now that he is famous and appears on reality TV, he is using that to his advantage to raise funds. He posted the house’s condition along with a donation link. Keep reading for more info on donating to Rasit.
90 Day Fiance fans know Rasit has always wanted a family of his own. He even started planning for the future after arriving in the States. Then a blogger got hold of a photo. It showed Rasit and Mallorie in wedding attire, looking as if they were on their wedding day. The blogger later took the photos down due to certain issues. But by then, many fans had already seen them. This led to rumors that the couple was already husband and wife.
In a recent livestream, Rasit firmly denied those claims. He said he does not have a wife. He repeated this twice during the LIVE and stressed it each time. Still, he gave very little detail and kept his answers vague. This only added to the confusion and controversy among fans online. Some now believe he may be hiding his marital status because of an NDA he signed with the network.
90 Day Fiance Season 12 star Rasit has started a GoFundMe to help rebuild his family’s home. On the show, Rasit shared that his parents’ house collapsed during the massive earthquake that hit Turkey on February 6, 2023. He said his parents have been living in a tent and a container ever since, with no real home to return to. His house looked well-kept, but the main house no longer stands, and the earthquake destroyed it.
Now Rasit has started the GoFundMe page, titled “Rebuilding Our Home After the Earthquake,” under the name Muhammed Raşit Kebabcı. The goal is $30,000, and so far, one donor has given $200 to help the cause. The Marmaris boat captain is using his reality-star fame to help rebuild his family home. However, one fan pointed out that the earthquake happened in 2023, so why hasn’t Rasit rebuilt his home in three years?
One fan commented, “Putting up a GoFundMe now is really strange” since it has been many years since the earthquake. Another believed that he was using his popularity to milk some money from fans. Rasit posted an Instagram story with his parents, with a link to the donation site. For more updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
