It seems like Love Island USA loves scandals, or at least their cast does. Season 8 cast members have already created a lot of buzz with past videos that are now coming to light. Peacock removed two Love Islanders this season for all the racial slurs in past videos. Now, the reality TV scandal is leveling up with yet another cast member’s resurfaced video.
Tierra Davis came at the center of the controversy when past legal documents made the rounds online. The reality star’s past, in which she ran into legal trouble, resurfaced online, putting yet another Love Islander on the hot seat. What happened that led Davis to run into legal trouble? Is it another racial slur incident or something else? Keep reading for the full story.

Love Island USA is changing how it picks contestants for future seasons. The move comes after Vasana Montgomery was removed from Season 8 before it even aired, following a video of her using a racial slur. The scandal embarrassed Peacock and showed gaps in the show’s screening process. Producers are now looking into AI tools for Season 9. These tools could scan years of social media data, including deleted posts, to catch problems early.
The fallout also caused chaos behind the scenes. Some fans believe the scandal is why Gabriel Vasconcelos entered the villa as a bombshell, with Kayda Bosse following soon after. Viewers are still questioning decisions made during filming. While producers hope smarter screening tools will help, many fans doubt technology alone can fix a bigger problem in reality TV casting.
Casa Amor contestant Tierra “Titi” Davis is the center of a new controversy. The Love Island USA star’s court documents made the rounds online. The documents show that she once threatened to shoot a teenage girl in 2018. According to the papers, a woman named Shayla Woodard filed a restraining order against Davis back in 2018, claiming Davis attacked her that October. Woodard said Davis threatened to shoot her the next time they crossed paths, and worried her mom and baby brother could also get hurt.
Woodard also claimed that Davis hit her multiple times in the face, arms, and upper body. She also sent threatening calls and messages. Woodard believed the conflict started over a guy, since Davis suspected her of dating her ex-boyfriend. The court granted Woodard a temporary restraining order at the time, which a judge later dismissed that December. Love Island faced more controversy prior to Davis’ case this season. Prior to this, two other season stars faced termination and public scrutiny over past mistakes.
This is not the first scandal to hit Love Island USA this season. Vasana Montgomery and Alannah Keyser both served termination papers after their racial slur videos resurfaced. Other cast members faced backlash too. Kenzie Annis was accused of supporting a controversial political figure, which her family denied. Sean Reifel drew criticism after quitting his job as a police officer to join the show. For more updates, follow TV Season & Spoilers.
