According to Mykelti, she and her husband, Tony, are now under the “microscope” because of all the confessions she has made.

Mykelti said, “Because they’re like, ‘OK, this makes us look bad. We don’t look good. This could hurt our reputation. We need to protect ourselves.’” She explained that she gave “a peek-a-boo of the situation” without revealing all the details and shared “two separate points” about it. Mykelti noted that she simply wanted to highlight the importance of children being open to their parents, but media outlets twisted the narrative.

Mykelti believes that several media outlets took “two separate events and combined them into one and ran with it.” This created issues between her and TLC. Apparently, this incident ended up becoming a big thing in her family. Mykelti stated that there was a lot of “internal drama” happening in her family and things were getting chaotic.
