Now Jibri has announced that they will welcome their baby in Serbia and not in the US. In a social media post, Jibri Bell shares the real reason he and Dajana chose Serbia for their baby’s birth. He says the Serbian people welcomed him with open arms from day one.

He met Dajana in Belgrade two years ago, and it felt like fate. When they learned she was pregnant, they faced a big choice. They looked at hospitals in Beverly Hills, Europe, and even Thailand. Still, they kept coming back to Serbia. Jibri says the family feels that family is central to daily life there, and that Serbian culture has everything they are looking for. Moreover, as a Black American, he says Serbia has shown him nothing but kindness and love.

Jibri also jokes that his only struggle is eating too much good food and drinking too much rakija. The hospital that will deliver their baby also treated Jibri during a past surgery, and the staff showed him real compassion.
