After ending their romance and accusing him of being unfaithful, she has finally begun reflecting on the warning signs she believes were there all along. Elise admitted she has a habit of recognizing red flags in a relationship but convincing herself to overlook them anyway.

90 Day Fiance star Elise Benson finally revealed on the Diaries segment why she dumped Joshua Lawson. She told the cameras that Joshua actually pretended that his phone was broken, but it actually wasn’t. According to Benson, she even found messages from three different girls on his phone. She wanted to see those messages, but it seems that Joshua wasn’t ready for it at all.

As soon as Elise confronted Joshua about all of this and was willing to see those messages, he hung up. Amid all this, a girl texted Elise to say she had seen Joshua with someone new. Apparently, the girl claimed that Joshua went home with another girl. Elise was sick to her stomach, as she never felt that Joshua would ever cheat on her.

90 Day Fiance: Elise Talks About Joshua’s Red Flags!

90 Day Fiance viewers have always felt that Elise Benson also viewed Joshua Lawson through rose-colored glasses and ended up ignoring some major red flags. Hence, her friend decided to give her a reality check and counted all the alarming signs that Joshua had. She pointed out that it was a red flag when a person turned off his location when he didn’t want her to know where he was.

Elise’s friend further pointed out that it was, again, a red flag that Joshua had a child from a previous relationship and didn’t want her to meet that child. She noted that Joshua didn’t even tell Elise that he was about to lose his job. Hence, Elise’s bestie wanted her to learn that when she sees red flags, she needs to stay away from them at all costs.

Elise also reflected on these things, and now she believes that she has a tendency to ignore some major red flags. She wrote in the comments section, “My toxic trait used to be the seeing red flags and ignoring them or thinking I could “change” them.” She added, “Girls note to self- You can’t! Thank god for my best friend helping me through this!!”
