Geoffrey is one of the most controversial characters on 90 Day Fiance. He is usually the target of the hatred of fans because of his questionable encounter with the law. For a long time, fans have been questioning what he does for a living. Some have even been wondering whether he works or not. 90 Day Fiance: Geoffrey Calls His Work Enjoyable

He captioned two pictures of himself in which he was working on-site. First, Geoffrey answers the question whether he works and says that he does. Adding to that, the reality TV star also stated that he finds his work enjoyable and freeing. According to him, the typical 9 to 5 job scenario is a monotonous one. He pointed out that the work he considers interesting as well as enjoyable might not be desirable for the common masses.

“Does he even work?” Yeah, yeah…I work. It may not fit into the typical 9-to-5 monotony that consumes much of the workforce, but my work is much more enjoyable and freeing. Sure, the work I consider to be interesting and engaging might not be desirable to you. Yet, I learned very early in my life that a 9-to-5 position with 2 weeks “off” each year was definitely not my calling. Also, I am a leader, not a follower. I have always been. I am not a “yes boss” type of person that just follows orders without asking if there is a better way. I prefer to make my own schedule, be in charge of my work responsibilities, and actually see my physical accomplishments at the end of the day. It gives me a satisfaction that could otherwise, in my opinion, never be attained. . All the former are great reasons to be self-employed, but that’s not the most rewarding part. My work forces me to envision the best layout while rebuilding a kitchen or figuring out where to put the entrance way to a room to be more functional. Consequently though, while doing so, I cannot help but reflect on my life. While I am ripping down a wall and ultimately restoring homes, I am also reinventing myself. Many people like to listen to music while they work—I prefer to listen to my own thoughts. . My thoughts are what drive me. With that said, this also means my mind never stops. I am all over the place when I am in deep thought. Some would argue my racing thoughts are rampant or unrestrained. However, I actually view them as a means to another new beginning or lessons learned. Everyone has a different idea of what “normal” is—my intrinsic chaos is, to me, mental stability. Of course, many people wish they could change things that have occurred in life leading one to dwell on the negative. Me, nah, not so much, I am appreciative of merely being able to reflect on life and make a better plans or decisions for when new or similar experiences come my way. I am also fortunate to have work that leads me to so many new understandings while engaging in what some view as “mindless”. . Do you prefer to follow the masses…conforming to “everyone” else? The reality TV star revealed that at a very early age he found out that a full-time 9 to 5 job with a 2-week vacation in a year was not a cup of tea. According to Geoffrey, he is neither a leader nor a follower. He can’t really follow someone else’s orders without asking or looking for a better way. Like a free-spirited person, Geoffrey likes to make his own schedule.

At the end of every working day, Geoffrey gets a great deal of satisfaction from all his physical accomplishments. Even though he accepts the above reasons as being able to choose the path of self-employment, the most rewarding part comes next. The fact that his work pushes him to envision the best and the most functional layout is the most rewarding part. 

While at work, he can’t help but reflect on his own life. Instead of listening to music while at work, Geoffrey prefers to indulge himself in his own thoughts. His mind never stops and his thoughts drive him. He considers them a nudge towards a new beginning or a reflection of the things he has learned.

As we already know the definition of normal is a highly relative one. Everyone has a different version of what is normal to them. To Geoffrey, his intrinsic chaos is his mental stability. He further adds that people keep dwelling on the past. They focus on what they could have changed. But he is happy to take better decisions and make improved plans when a similar situation arises.

Geoffrey also appreciates the ability to reflect on life. He believes that his work drives him towards a new understanding of things that most people consider mindless.
