The wait of the fans might get over soon because there is a talk about the production house that they can develop one of the most anticipated anime series real soon. Polygon Production also released a live-action film along with the anime series. Both the film as well as the anime series got a tremendous response and support from the fans. 

Ajin: Demi-Human is a Japanese manga series that was then adapted into an anime series and a live-action film by Polygon Pictures. Gamon Sakurai has written and illustrated this manga series. The anime series debuted back on 16 January 2016. The second season of this anime premiered on 8 October 2016. Both the season consists of 13 no. of episodes. The creators also made a live-action trilogy film of Ajin. They released the last movie of Ajin trilogy on 6 May 2016.

Ajin Season 3: Renewed?

It’s been more than three years when the last season of Ajin was released. And the fans are still waiting for Ajin Season 3 with the same excitement and hype as they were doing in 2017. However, there is still no official confirmation came from the production side. But the good news is that the talk about the development of the next season is going around in the production houses. So, the fans can get the official confirmation about the third season sooner than later.

The live-action film trilogy ended its story back in 2016. So, if we look from that way, there is still a strong chance that Ajin will come back for Season 3 and conclude its anime series too.

Is There Enough Content For Ajin Demi-Human Season 3?

However, during the release of the second season, there were not enough source material, and the next significant story arc is still incomplete. But the manga of this series published its recent volume in November 2019. Hence, now the creators have more than enough source material for making Ajin Season 3. 

Both the anime series, as well as the movie trilogy, got a positive response from the fans. The critics also praised both the forms of the manga adaptation of this series. Moreover, the Production house, Polygon Pictures, is still working and making films. They are currently busy with their latest projects that are “Drifting Dragons,” and “Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy.” So, it is expected that they will start working on Ajin Season 3 once they completed their running projects.

What The Show Is All About?

Ajin: Demi-Human is the story of a boy named Kei Nagai. He is a student, and somehow he finds about his immortality. The government wants to capture the Ajin and perform different experiments on them. Kaito, a childhood friend of Kei, helped him avoiding police and government employees. An Ajin conflict started to rise for opposing the brutality against them. Kei stopped the movement and took out the Ajin leader, Satou. Kei finds out their ultimate motive, which is to use the dispute to create an army of immortal to take over and rule the world.

What Fans Can Expect In Season 3

In the upcoming season of Ajin, Satou will make his return from the custody of the US forces. Reportedly, he made political partnerships with the high ranked officers of the US government. He promises them full political support once he takes control of Japan. The US government will provide him with some advanced weapons for the Ajin revolutionaries. Now, Kei, Tosaki, and Kosabe will help the Japanese government to overcome the Ajin revolutionaries.

Ajin Season 3 Release Date

The recent manga volume of Ajin: Demi-Human released in November 2019. Hence the fans can expect the next manga volume to release in May or June 2020. However, Polygon Pictures made no official announcement regarding the release date of Ajin Season 3. But if everything goes well, the fans can expect this anime series to release sometime in 2021.
