Netflix’s New Deal With Ubisoft!

Last year in October, Netflix has made a new deal with Ubisoft. It seems like the fans will soon see the Assassin’s Creed Universe on the streaming giant. According to this new deal, Netflix will have the right to make TV series, anime, and live-action films based on this video game franchise. Ever since the launch of this franchise, they had sold more than 155 million copies of these video games. Therefore now the fans are very excited after this new deal to see the proper story of their favorite fictional universe. Peter Friedlander, Vice President, Original Series, Netflix also released a statement about this deal. He said, “We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring to life the rich, multilayered storytelling that Assassin’s Creed is beloved for.”

Will There Be Assassin’s Creed Anime?

In the past few years, Netflix has grown to be one of the largest anime streaming platforms in the world. The fans really like the anime on the platform. Therefore the streaming giant began to produce its original anime series as well. Castlevania is the finest example of it. Yes! You heard it right. Netflix already greenlit the first project based on this video franchise. And it is an Assassin’s Creed Live-Adaptation TV series. Jason Altman, Head of Ubisoft Film & Television, confirmed this news as well. He said, “For more than ten years, millions of fans around the globe have served shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise. We’re excited to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix, and we look ahead to growing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”
