Dota Dragon’s Blood Season 2 is finally around the corner. The popular video game turned anime took fans by surprise when the very first episode aired on Netflix this summer. The story of this streaming sensation follows the conflict between the Dark Moon Order of Nightsilver Woods and the elves of Coedwig. This, along with the demon Terrorblade who hopes to create a new world of his will.
Season 1 of Dota Dragon’s Blood was an instant hit as both anime and gaming fans were surprised by this unique experiment. Until now, we have seen how the elves struggle their way to make peace with the Dark Moon Order. Though, they have not been able to do so yet. Dota Dragon’s Blood Season 2: Renewal Plans
The Netflix show’s first 8 episodes are named ‘Book 1’, meaning that more episodes are on their way in the form of the next books. The streaming service has also hinted in the past that new episodes are under works for now. Moreover, Dragon’s Blood’s animation editor revealed to Yahoo! News that he worked on a total of 24 episodes, only eight of which were aired on Netflix.
With so much already in the store, the renewal of the next season seems like a near dream. Knowing that so many episodes are yet to be released on the streaming service, fans are expecting trailers and teasors for the next season soon.
What Will Be The Story Of Season 2?
As we saw, the last season ended with the setting up of two different arcs. In the episode “A Game of Chess”, we saw Luna ask Princess Mirana to take the Dark Moon back to the Nightsilver Woods. But this is a minor conflict as a bigger one is coming their way. This trouble is in the form of Selemene. She finds out that the demon made a deal with her lover, Invoker. The deal was that in exchange for her soul, Terrorblade will get seven souls of his own. It will be interesting to see how this deal would affect the relationship of Invoker and Selemene.
The final moments of the show involved Invoker asking his love “Do you love me?” This question was quite a cliffhanger for the fans as well as Selemene. It seems fair enough that the next season will kick off from the exact moment where it left. The fate of Invoker after making a deal with a demon would also be covered up. Selemene would be seen dealing with her emotional conflicts after Invoker’s actions.
Dota Dragon’s Blood Season 2: Release Date
For now, Netflix has not announced an official date for Dota Dragon’s Blood Season 2. But if we look closely at Netflix’s release history of anime shows, particularly the likes of Castlevania and Aggretsuko, we will know that dragon’s blood season 2 will likely release in 2022. Although, looking at the the amount of content that Netflix has in store, fans are optimistic that the season could release in the later months of 2021. And if not this year, the next season will surely debut in March 2022, exactly one year after season 1.
