Everyone had set their eyes for the announcement of the continuation of the Haikyuu anime series during the premiere event of the anime film adaptation of Haikyuu in September 2017. The fans had hopes that Production I.G. will continue the series. Fans wanted Production I.G. to serialize the manga into another season. Audience and the critics received all the three films which were released in the series very well.
In January 2018, Haikyuu manga sold over 28 million copies worldwide. When these numbers were made public, it increased the hopes of the fans for the renewal of the anime for the Haikyuu Season 4.

Recently during the Jump Festa 2019 event, Production I.G. finally announced the revival of the Haikyuu series and renewed the anime for another run. It didn’t take a few hours for the news to spread throughout the internet like wildfire.
Along with the announcement of season 4, the studio, Production I.G. also released a trailer for the next season of the anime. The trailer has received more than 1.5 million views on YouTube. Hence, the fans are excited from the news and the trailer of the new season of their beloved series.
News And Updates About The Next Season
The Haikyuu Season 4 is not named as the fourth season, but as ‘Haikyuu – A New Series.’ This has made many of the fans believe that the Haikyuu is rebooting itself and starting it all over again. We are here to tell you, it is not true.
Although, the new season is named as ‘New Series,’ but it is not a reboot. It is a continuation of the story of Haikyuu. The next installment will give a new beginning to the volleyball careers of Hinata and Kageyama.
Haikyuu Season 4 Release Date
Along with the announcement and the trailer for the Haikyuu Season 4, the showrunners also announced the release date. Although an exact date is yet to be revealed, Production I.G. teased the return to be around September 2019.
