However, despite all the demands, they are maintaining their silence and are not revealing any info. As of the current situation, they are yet to green light to Knights And Magic Season 2. Just like several other anime series, this one follows its plot from a light novel series. The serialization of this novel began in January 2013. While the LN is still in the run, no new volumes have come out since 2018. Author Hisago Amazake-no has published a total of nine volumes so far. Studio 8bit already exhausted seven out of these nine in order to create the plot of the inaugural season. Therefore, now they don’t have enough source material to create Knights And Magic Season 2. It might as well be the main reason behind the delay in the renewal of the anime series.
Knights And Magic Season 2: Will The Anime Return?
The ratings and viewership for the first season of this mecha anime were great. It has a good score of 7.12 on MAL and also has several positive reviews on the same platform. Even after the three years-long hiatus, the demand for the sequel is also pretty high. However, the production studio does not have enough source material to produce it. Therefore, they have to wait for the author to publish more chapters before renewing Knights And Magic Season 2. While it’s pretty rare for studios to do that, 8bit might create an original storyline for the sequel. If that doesn’t happen, it’s likely that the makers won’t renew the anime series until they get enough content to create its plot.
