Knights Of Sidonia Season 3 has been the talk of the town for the past five years. Fans are eagerly waiting for the third installment of this action-packed anime. The good news is that the Polygon Pictures officially ordered the third season of the show in 2017.

Will The Anime Ever Return?

Despite having more than enough source material the third season continuously facing delays. The main reason is that on 3 July 2019 the Netflix’s license to stream this worldwide was expired. And it is still doubtful that Netflix will renew it or not. Since this anime series is one of the Netflix Original series, therefore, some fans are anxious about the future of the series. If Netflix decides to renew the license of this series, the anime could be picked up by another streaming platform. If this happens, then it will be a good indication for Knights of Sidonia Season 3.
Knights Of Sidonia Season 3: Will The Ending Be Different From Manga?
There were a lot of fans who didn’t like the way the creators ended the manga of this series. Plots were left uncompleted, and the fans never got the answer to the questions like “who and what are the Guana?”
The tone of the series has also changed with time. The focus was shifted more to Nagate and his space harem side. And this disappointed the Sci-Fi anime fans because the tensed and action-packed stories were given less screen time. The story of this anime series sets some thousands of years after in the future. Humanity had to leave the planet after being destroyed by some shapeshifter aliens. They escaped on hundreds of ships, and one such ship is known as Sidonia which has developed its own human culture. Sidonia is possibly the last part of humanity left with a population of over 500,000 people. Guana attacked the Sidonia and is up to lead Nagate Tankikaze and his fellow scouts to save them from extinction.
When Will It Release?
As of now the official confirmation for Knights Of Sidonia Season 3 is yet to come. However, there are great possibilities that the fans will get the official confirmation for the third season this year. Hence, they can expect the next installment of this anime series to release sometime around 2021 or 2022.
