Well, the credits should also go to the popularity of its 2014 anime adaptation that became a sensation upon its debut. The anime series is yet to receive a second season.
Rise In Demand For No Game No Life Season 2
Over the course of last six years, fans were waiting for Studio Madhouse to renew No Game No Life Season 2. However, the show producers noticed a sudden rise in the demand after its premiere on Netflix. The first season of the legendary show made a debut on the international streaming platform in February 2020. The anime turned out to be a treat for millions of quarantined Netflix subscribers looking for good content.

No Game No Life Season 2 Won’t Release Until LN Volume 11 Come Out

The No Game No Life light novel series has a total of ten volumes as of January 2018. It’s been a while since the last novel came out, and it’s speculated that the series has ended. However, the tenth volume itself hints that an eleventh novel will come out. Volume 10’s afterward teased that Volume 11 might be about Sprites or Fairies.
As of now, No Game No Life Season 2 has no source material (in the run) to promote. Hence, there’s a chance that the producers wouldn’t renew the sequel until Volume 11 comes out.
When Will It Release?
Well, neither Yu Kamiya nor the publishers have confirmed the release of No Game No Life Volume 11. The LN volume has little to no chances of return this year. However, as per speculations, it may come out sometime around 2021. If that happens, Madhouse or any other studio might pick up the productions of No Game No Life Season 2.
