Crunchyroll is finally ready to give us The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 and Season 3. The streaming service recently ordered both installments of the anime series altogether. In fact, it also gave us some exciting insights into Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari Season 2. Fortunately, we have everything you need to know about the upcoming season. The Rising Of The Shield Hero debuted back in January 2019 and ran for 25 successful episodes. The anime adaptation of the light novel series of the same name turned out to be a massive hit for Kinema Citrus. Moreover, the debut season covered the first five out of twenty-two volumes of the light novel. Besides, it took the plot of eleven volumes of the manga series.
Season 2 & 3 Confirmed!
The makers of the anime series declared the renewal of The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 & 3 during the Crunchyroll Expo 2019. The streaming service previously confirmed the news through a tweet. However, at the event, they made an official announcement with details of the anime’s return.
The attendees of the Crunchyroll Expo panel were the first to get the news. It was announced that The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 is already in production. On the other hand, they revealed that the third part of the popular Isekai series would also return for fans in the future. In fact, the streaming service surprised the audience with a short synopsis of the second season.

What Will Happen In ‘The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2?’
The popular anime brand shared the official synopsis of the latest season. Well, as per the looks, The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 seems pretty challenging for Naofumi and his team. Our favorite character will soon be encountering a new enemy. However, the Shield Hero, Raphtalia, and Filo will also be getting some new companions.
On the other hand, the three of them will come across a huge turtle that carries a town on its back. Well, Naofumi and the others have fights to face along their journey in Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari Season 2. The plot of the second installment will pick up from where Season 1 ended. We hope that they discuss the finale cliffhanger in the new season.
Towards the end of the first season, Naofumi finally becomes a proper hero. Hence, he decides to go out into the world to defend other defenseless regions from the threat of the waves. However, the waves are the weapons of heroes from another world. This will make the journey much more difficult for the Shield Hero. Although, the finale cliffhanger tells us that Naofumi can now give his enemies a tough fight.
Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari Season 2: First Look
Out of all the surprises Crunchyroll gave us at the event, this is the biggest one. Besides confirming that The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 is already in productions, the streaming service also gave us the first look at the new season. The picture features Naofumi and the others looking at the mysterious town on a turtle’s back. The Shield Hero and his team will now come across another set of challenges in the upcoming installment.
The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2: Release Date
The release of the new season depends upon Kinema Citrus’ schedule for the next upcoming years. The studio usually works on one or two animes per year. Considering the fact that ‘Made In Abyss the Movie: Dawn Of The Deep Soul’ is about to hit the screens, Kinema Citrus may not be free in the next year.
In fact, since the anime is pretty popular, the studio may instead plan on making a Made In Abyss Season 2 as well. Their schedule may highly affect the release of The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2. As of now, it’s hard to expect the series to return anytime earlier than 2021.
