Meliodas didn’t become the next Demon King, but his father is still alive. In fact, he took over Zeldris’s body and convinced him that Meliodas betrayed him.
Now, Episode 16 of the popular anime’s fifth season will feature the final battle between Meliodas and the Demon King. As much as we all know Meliodas, he will try to save Zeldris as well. Elizabeth will also go along with Meliodas to help in defeating his father. On the other hand, Escanor constantly prays to Mael in order to get his old powers back.
