In the premiere episode of Tokyo Revengers, the viewers saw Takemichi remembering his past when he was still in school. When he was in high school, Hinata was very popular with Naota. Takemichi understands that he was number two in a brutal gang of second-years. Later, Takemichi glances at the mirror and is unable to accept that it is him in loose pants and a weird hairstyle. He recognizes that he is a faulty-looking punk crew. Hence, he comes to the conclusion that he has been reborn in his former body. Later he ends up in an encounter with Tokyo Majin Gang that trounced them, and they bow and withdraw.
