We Never Learn (Bokuben) is a Japanese romantic-comedy anime series. It adapts the plot from the manga of the same name by Taishi Tsutsui. Actually, the anime series overtook the plot of its manga and was way ahead of it in its second season. It made its debut on April 7, 2019. The second season was also released in the same year only with a gap of a few months.

When the viewers saw two seasons of Bokuben in a single year, they thought the third installment would come soon as well. However, it didn’t happen. The second season was concluded without any cliffhanger. Plus, the makers also teased on several occasions that the anime is already completed. The author of the manga has published 19 volumes in the series so far. Plus, they already revealed the release date of its 20th and 21st volume. But the studio has only adapted the first eight volumes in the anime series and then extended its plot. And that means the makers can easily make We Never Learn Season 3 with that much source material. They can even make two more seasons of it. Currently, they have more than 100 chapters to choose from for the plot of its third season.

In a recent interview, Taishi Tsutsui teased about the ending of the manga. He said, “Thank you for viewing the final episode of the anime. Thank you very much for doing such a fine animation with the help of many people. Concerning the relevance between the last episode of the anime and the planned development of the original story… No comments (laughs). I believe that the original story will continue to be enjoyed. Thanks!”
From the above statement, we can conclude that they haven’t planned We Never Learn Season 3. The makers already provided a proper conclusion to the anime series with the second season’s finale. So, despite having a lot of source material, it is likely that the fans will never see the return of this anime.
