Mama June Shannon is proud of six months of her sobriety. Recently, she took to Instagram to celebrate the momentous milestone. The reality star would be turning 41 and couldn’t contain her excitement over living a sober life.
Mama June: June Shannon Shares Clip Of A Pink Chip
June Shannon shared a video clip on Instagram showing off a pink chip her manager sent her. She revealed that she and Geno completed the six-month milestone in their sober journey. June Shannon went on to share that she is very proud of hitting this milestone. Her excitement was palpable as she showed off the pink chip.
The chip had a few words written on it. They were – “unity,” “service,” “recovery,” “6” and “month.” Not just this, she also received a batch of cookies that read – ‘sober life’ and ‘happy birthday.’ Shannon thanked her manager and added, “I’m very proud of as I and @doakgeno are over six months clean now.”
June Shannon And Geno Doak ‘ Tryst With Drugs
June Shannon was arrested in March last year on charges of possession of a controlled substance. Her boyfriend, Geno Doak, was also arrested for domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia. The two were heavily consuming drugs. In fact, June Shannon revealed using as much as $2,500 worth of methamphetamine every day.
Despite their rough past, Geno and Shannon have moved on. June Shannon is intent on becoming the best version of herself. She said that she hated the person she was in the past. However, now she is focusing on being better and living a healthy life.
